Musical Director - Alison Stevens BEd ALCM dipLCM

Alison is a graduate of Liverpool University and an associate of The London College of Music. She is an accomplished pianist and has recently developed her interest in singing to study for a diploma in musical theatre. 

Professionally, Alison is now retired, but was previously manager of Shropshire Music Service. She spent much of her working week directing large group singing in schools and community choirs. She founded The Shropshire Girls Choir in 1996, a county based audition choir. Under Alison's direction, they have performed at the LG Arena, Symphony Hall and the Albert Hall.

 Alison has been part of "Of One Accord" for many years as accompanist, teacher, co-director and conductor until Christmas 2004 when she took over as Musical Director. Under her leadership the choir has grown to its current membership of over 50. She expects a strong work ethic and high standards are achieved through fun filled rehearsals. Members are encouraged to work as a team, developing their own skills to enhance the overall sound of the choir.

"Of One Accord" benefits greatly from her considerable organizational skills, quick wit and determination to constantly improve standards.

She is responsible for all matters concerning music and performance. Conducting, accompaniment, arranging and staging of all performances are just a few of the talents she brings to the choir.
